Does Viagra Make You Last Longer or Just Get Hard?

Viagra primarily helps men achieve and maintain erections, but doesnot extend the duration of sexual intercourse. The medication works by increasing blood flow to the penis through PDE5 enzyme inhibition, making erections easier to achieve and sustain during sexual activity. Viagra does not directly delay ejaculation or extend the time to climax. Studies show that while 82% of men experience improved erection quality with sildenafil, the medication has minimal impact on ejaculation timing. Some men may perceive lasting longer simply because they can maintain firmer erections throughout intercourse. For premature ejaculation concerns, doctors typically recommend different treatments like topical anesthetics or selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, which specifically target ejaculatory control rather than erectile function.
