Most cases involve diffuse hair loss rather than patchy baldness, and the effect typically reverses within 3-6 months after discontinuing the medication. If you notice significant hair loss while taking losartan, consult your healthcare provider about alternative blood pressure medications. Other ARBs like valsartan or telmisartan may be suitable substitutes with lower hair loss risk.
