Can You Take Cialis with Flomax?
Medically reviewed by Andre Stone | MD, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine on August 25th, 2026.
Taking Cialis with Flomax can lower blood pressure and should be discussed with your prescriber. Both medications can cause significant drops in blood pressure, and combining them may further lower blood pressure and increase the risk of dizziness or fainting. The interaction occurs because both medicines can lower blood pressure. Cialis widens blood vessels, while Flomax blocks receptors in the prostate and bladder outlet and can also affect blood vessels. A prescriber may use them together in some circumstances after considering your condition, current doses, blood pressure, and other medicines. The safest dosing approach depends on why each medicine is being used. Do not start or combine these medicines without checking with your prescriber, because the combination can cause dizziness, fainting, or falls, especially in people who already have low blood pressure or take other blood-pressure-lowering medicines.
